The St. Adrian Class of ‘63 55-year reunion was held at the Countryside Inn on June 30th. Attending the reunion were nine members of the class; Karen (Egan) Kellen, Mary Fritz, Rita (Kunkel) Schol, Sheryl (Reker) Fritz, Darlene (Altman) Liberstein, Dan Honermann, Elaine Klein Judy (Heitkamp) Edmunds and Joe Konz .
At the same time in the same location, Jim Tennessen, Dan Sweeney, and Tom Kellen celebrated 55 years since graduating from St. Anthony High School in Lismore. Darlene (Altman) Liberstein and Sheryl (Reker) Fritz were in that class through eighth grade; and at St. Adrian’s all through high school. Another connection between the groups is that Tom’s wife is Karen (Egan) Kellen is a member of the St. Adrian Class.
Congratulations to Larry and Tess (Vanderplaats) Berning on their wedding. It was a perfect night for the couple to celebrate with family and friends.
A Bridal Shower was held on Saturday, June 30, for Tatyanna Shade, bride-to-be of Dru Strand. It was a really nice shower for them and Tatyanna was really touched that so many people would come to a shower when they don’t know her. They get married in September.
St. Adrian CDA will hold their annual salad luncheon on Wednesday July 11th at St. Adrian from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Come hungry!
Christmas in July is right around the corner. What are you doing the July 20 and 21?
More rain! Great news though, it is supposed to be dry most of the week.
The Country Living Cottages has planted two large raised gardens outside the front of the building. They are feasting on the produce. Nothing beats fresh!
Bingo is on the schedule for the Senior Center on Thursday, July 5. Be sure to call by Tuesday, as the center is not open on the fourth.
