Our belated sympathy to the Darwin & Lois Veld family on the loss of Lois’ mother, Viola Liepold. Viola passed away earlier this month at the age of 91. Viola was a busy farm wife and mother and kept very busy with her church, volunteer work, and gardening but still found time to keep the cookie jar filled! She was selected as Jackson County’s Outstanding Senior in 2001. She leaves a wonderful legacy of five children, 19 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren. Blessed be the memory of Viola Liepold.
