Funeral services for Donna J. Larsen, age 87, of Bay City, MI were held Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, MN, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Lismore, MN. Donna, formerly of Adrian, MN, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in Bay City, MI.
She was born in Huron, SD on November 17, 1930, to Effie (Nenaber) and Ben Pieper. She was raised in Lismore, MN and after high school graduation, she moved to Chicago, IL where she met her future husband, Dr. Frank L. Scharmach. They were married on June 25, 1955, and then moved to Pinconning, MI where Dr. Scharmach had his practice until his passing in October of 1970. Donna later married Alfred Larsen, who preceded her in death in 1978. Donna moved to Bay City, MI in 1988, where she resided until her passing.
She enjoyed her flowers and keeping up her yard, politics and taking trips when she was able.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Ann (Scharmach) LaFramboise, of Bay City, MI; several nieces and nephews in Minnesota and in Florida; and good friends, Arlene Lambert and Jan Jonas.
In addition to her parents and her husbands she was preceded in death by her sister Esther Rieder, Doris Lorang and brother Cliff Pieper all of Minnesota.
