A Mass of Christian Burial for Germaine Ludmilla Roemeling, age 74, was held April 6, 2018, at St. Adrian Catholic Church, in Adrian, MN, with Father Rick Colletti officiating. Interment was in St. Adrian Catholic Cemetery. She passed away on April 2, 2018, at the Sanford Hospital in Worthington, MN. Germaine was born February 26, 1944, in Webster, SD, the daughter of Albert and Leona (Opitz) Deutsch. She attended St. Adrian Catholic School.
She was united in marriage to Jim Roemeling on December 28, 1961, in Adrian, MN. They made their home in the Lismore, MN, Worthington, MN and Adrian, MN areas for 51 years where they raised five children.
Germaine loved to read, crafting, playing pinochle, going to garage sales and spending time with her pets, Buddy and Gizmo.
Germaine is survived by five children, Tammy (Ken) Vortherms of St. Peters, MO; Linda (Rick) Lutmer of Omaha, NE; Jeff (Melanie) Roemeling of Boyden, IA; Diana (Mark) Herrig of Spirit Lake, IA; and Alan Roemeling of Norfolk, NE; 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She is also survived by two sisters, Deloris (Harold) Kruger of Beaver Creek, MN and Diane (Bernard) Thier of Adrian, MN and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim, in 2013, and 3 infant siblings.
