A benefit for Randy Lenz will be held on Saturday, April 14th, at the Lismore Legion Hall.  On the menu will be smoked pork, baked beans, chips and dessert for a free will offering.  A silent auction is also being organized for the event.  Randy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January.  Proceeds from the event will help with housing and transportation while he spends an extended period of time in Rochester in May.

Easter guests in the home of Marv & Pearl Wieneke were: Wendy & John Graff of Sioux Falls, SD; Vickie, Kevin, Mackenzie and Jaydah Viaene of Cottage Grove, MN; and Terrie, Keith, Mason, Emery and Harper Vollink of Doon, IA.

The 1st Presbyterian Church will host a Pancake Breakfast at the Lismore Legion Hall on Saturday, April 7th.  Pancakes, sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs will be served from 8:00-11:00 a.m.   Everyone is invited.

The Lismore American Legion Family (American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, & Sons of the American Legion) is again taking applications for their memorial scholarship. Interested applicants should visit the website: lismorepost636.com for an application and to read the qualifications.  Applications are due by May 1st. The scholarship will be announced at the Memorial Day program on Monday, May 28th.  For more information or a paper application, please contact Darwin Veld or any Legion, Auxiliary, or SAL member.

Ken & Vickie Leinen enjoyed Easter at the home of Colt, Kait and Urijah Bullerman in Adrian. Other guests included McKenna Leinen and her friend, Blake of Sioux Falls.

Friday overnight guests in the home of Frank & Deb Wieneke were Rick Lutmer of Omaha, NE and Luke & Tracy Sursely of Sioux City, IA.

Jim & Kris Weidert hosted the Weidert family for Easter Sunday dinner.  Weekend overnight guests were Jeff & Lacy Osborne of Rochester.

Joyce Erdman had Easter noon dinner at the home of her daughter Pam and Mark Luettel in Adrian. Other guests were: Jennifer Luettel of Mankato; Corey, Tara, Ainsley, Oliver, and Leo Luettel of Faribault; and Bruce, Lindsay, Ian, Aiden, and Ava Meyeraan of Luverne.  In the afternoon, the grandchildren had fun hunting for Easter eggs. Joyce enjoyed supper at the home of her daughter Gail Erdman in Primghar, IA. Other guests were Gail’s son Justin, Meredith, Brooke and Claire Jonas of Sheldon, IA; Randy Egenes of Hawarden, IA and his mom Ruth Egenes of Slayton. Brooke and Claire had fun hunting for Easter eggs at grandma Gail’s. Joyce had a very blessed and happy Easter!
