The Dragon Girls Basketball team, coaches and parents gathered Sunday, March 17, 2018 to celebrate another successful Dragon season. Coaches Jes Hermeling and Patrice Peters announced letter winners, award winners and All Conference players. Seniors Alexia Kemper, Kaitlyn Christians, Hannah Bullerman, Paige Bullerman and Lexi Slater were recognized for their contribution to the Dragon girls basketball program throughout the years.
2018 letter winners were: Hannah Bullerman, Kaitlyn Christians, Alexia Kemper, Paige Bullerman, Lexi Slater, Avery Balster, Brisa Zebe, Trinity Grimord, McKinley Nelson, Autumn Grussing, Megan Fuerstenberg, Moriah Bullerman, Bailey Lonneman, Emma Fuerstenberg and Elizabeth Erwin. Award Winners were: Bailey Lonneman for best 2 point field goal percentage (46%), Hannah Bullerman for best 3 point field goal percentage (25%), Hannah Bullerman for best free throw percentage (69%), Paige Bullerman for leading rebounder (206), Moriah Bullerman for leading in assists (60), Hannah Bullerman for leading in steals (35), Paige Bullerman earned a spot on the top ten list in career rebounds (518), Avery Balster was named most improved player, Moriah Bullerman was named the best practice player, Moriah Bullerman earned the hustle award, Hannah Bullerman and Paige Bullerman earned the Dragon Award, Hannah Bullerman was named the best defensive player.
Seniors earning Academic All State honors were Alexia Kemper, Hannah Bullerman, Lexi Slater and Paige Bullerman. These athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale cumulative starting in the 9th grade The team earned Academic All state Team Award for accumulative team GPA. The 2017-18 Dragons team GPA average was 3.84.
