Adrian News 3-7

The Robins are Back!  Spring is coming!  Thirteen more days left in winter.

Our prayers go out to Kay Cox who broke her arm last week.  Have a speedy recovery Kay!

Autumn (Wolf) and Andy Paschke of San Diego, CA are the proud parents of a daughter, Campbell Marie, who was born on February 11, 2018.  Campbell was 8lbs, 3 ozs and was 20” long.  She was welcomed home by big brother Evan.  Proud grandparents are Bob and Cindy Wolf and Marge and Loring Paschke.  Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to the Speech Team members for their wins at the Luverne Cardinal Speech meet.  It’s great to have so many competing in events other than sports!

Congratulations to both the AHS boys and girls basketball teams whose seasons came to an end this past week.  Both teams had a great season.  We are proud of you!

Bonnie (Bullerman) and Sean Belliveau of Buffalo, WY are proud parents of a baby girl, Aubrey Anna Lynne.  Aubrey was born February 22, 2018, weighing 8 lbs, 5 ozs.  Welcoming her home are siblings Landen and Brynlee.  Grandparents are Steve and Suzie Bullerman, Adrian; Tim and Susan Moyes, Buffalo, WY; Harvey and Marion Belliveau, Gilbert, AZ and great-grandmother is Rosie Henning of Adrian.

Congratulations to Adrian’s two wrestlers that competed at State.  You had great seasons!  We’re looking forward to following you next season!

Wayne and Sharon Jones traveled to DesMoines, IA to watch granddaughters, Hanna (senior), and Kailey (freshman), Jones in the State of Iowa Girls High School Basketball Tournament.   The Montezuma girls faced Central-Decatur in the first round of tournament.  The girls lost 52-48 in a hard comeback last half of the game.  Montezuma trailed by as much as 13 in the first half to take the lead with less than 30 seconds in the game.  Fouls were called against Montezuma and Central-Decatur got the win.  It was a great season.

Congratulations go out to the AHS Knowledge Bowl team.   Adrian had seven teams participate in the competiton.  They placed second overall, and have two teams going on to the state competition!

ATC is holding an Easter floral arrangement class on March 24.  You must reserve a spot by March 16, by calling Megan Vortherms at 507-227-3279.
