The Panther girls put an end to their six -game losing streak with a 20 point win over Heron Lake Okabena.
The Panthers were quick out of the gate racking up a 19 point lead before the first half buzzer sounded. The Panthers would outscore the Wildcats by an outstanding 34-15 margin in the first half. They would hold onto that edge continuing to outscore the Wildcats by a 23-22 margin in the second half. The Panthers worked their way to a 57-37 victory.
Leading the Panthers were Ashlyn Meester with 17 points and seven rebounds, Lizzie Chapa with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Kallie Chapa with 10 points and three assists. Morgan Dreesen chipped in defensively with nine rebounds and Devin Dreesen chipped in six rebounds in the contest.
