Nobles County Historical Society
During the recent Adrian Branch Library renovation, Librarian Meredith Vaselaar brought some items to the Nobles County Historical Society (NCHS). Among those items were three reels of 16mm film. These reels were from the King Theater of Adrian. It is believed that these film reels contain footage from the 1950-60’s of local events at Adrian. The NCHS would like to get these reels converted to digital format both for preservation and access. The estimated cost to do this conversion is $500. The NCHS would like to fund this project through donations and DVD sales. The NCHS has already received a $100 donation to kick off the project. The plan is to make the videos available online for awhile to the general public. The NCHS will provide a DVD to anyone who donates $25 or more to the project. The Nobles County Historical Society is a non-profit organizations, and all donations are tax deductible.
