Dragons hand RRC second home loss of season ~ Adrian defeats Red Rock Central 46 – 43

On Friday, January 26, the Adrian boys’ basketball team handed Red Rock Central it’s second home loss of the season.  The Dragons won 46 to 43. A Red Rock Central player missed a three point shot attempt as time expired.

The Dragons went 8 of 20 from inside the three-point line.  They were 8 of 17 from behind the three-point line.  Brady Henning led the Dragons with 14 points and connected on 4 of 5 three-point attempts.  Ryan Wieneke had 11 points and 5 assists.  Christian Weidert had 10 points and 9 rebounds.  Lance Luettel and Skylar Polzine did a great job of defending the lane and keeping Red Rock’s posts from getting comfortable on the block.

The Dragons improved to 5-3 in Red Rock Conference play and improved their overall record to 8-8.  The boys will head to Hills on February 1st to take on the Patriots and to Ellsworth on February 5th before heading into tourney action.
