Lismore News 11-22-17

The Lismore Auxiliary will be hosting BINGO at the Adrian Country Cottages Assisted Living on Wednesday, November 22, at 2:30 p.m.  Carpool meets at the Legion Hall and leaves at 2 p.m. for Adrian.

A large crowd attended the feather party Sunday evening sponsored by the Lismore American Legion.  One lucky family went home with SEVEN chickens and one turkey. Cate Koehne won the door prize and Skip Birkett of Ells

worth won the Americana quilt donated by Pam Kramer. Barbeque and a beautiful assortment of pies was served by the Auxiliary. Lots of fun at the feather party!

Good food and fellowship were on the menu for the First Presbyterian Church on Sunday as they served a soup & dessert luncheon.  Throughout the luncheon, guests bid on silent auction items.  One traditional auction item is a cooler filled with “mystery” items.  The one catch to winning the

cooler–the person who buys it must bring it back next year filled with something new.  Past cooler contents have included all the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner, ground beef and the

ingredients to make several hot dishes, a large stuffed snowman and a supply of various paper products.  Lori Klooster returned the cooler this year and the lucky “winner” of the cooler was Gengler & Sons Dairy.  The cooler was filled with a variety of holiday decorations for every season.  It’s a fun way to carry on tradition and stretch your imagination!

Dave & Deb Lutmer and Cody Lutmer celebrated an early Thanksgiving at the home of Will & McCall Lutmer in Sioux Falls, SD.  Little Sutton entertained all afternoon until naptime.
