Ellsworth News 10-4-17

The American Legion and Auxiliary will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.  The legion will meet at City Hall and the auxiliary at Oakwood apartments.

Katie Vis, Rock Rapids visited with Jan Stoll on Sunday afternoon.

On Wednesday, October 27th, Gene and Donna Reisdofer of Atlanta, Georgia, spent time with Jim Mulder, helping him celebrate his birthday.

On Friday, Mike Werner, Battle Lake, MN visited with the residents and staff at Parkview Manor Nursing Home.

Sunday visitors with Sweer, Sharon and Florence Arends were Keith and Marvella Klaashen, Sibley, IA and Daryl Kruger, Ellsworth.

The Parkview Manor Nursing Home volunteers will hold their annual Bake Sale and Raffle on Saturday, October 7th, from 9:00 until 1:30. This will be at the Ellsworth School.  The raffle will be held

at 1:00 pm.  DO NOT need to be present to win.  This is held in conjunction with the Fall Harvest Festival where there will be 25 plus tables.

Sympathy to the Top family.  Bill Top of Sibley, IA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2017. Bill and his wife Judy were both graduates from Ellsworth High School in 1972.

Saturday visitors with Sweer, Florence and Sharon Arends was Karen Steiner, Colorado Springs, CO. She came especially to attend a wedding.

Jay and Mimi Drenth of Rock Rapids, IA and Cole Schleusner of Vermillion, SD,  were Sunday visitors with Ruth Birkett.
