Family and friends said goodbye to Flory Loosbrock last week. His funeral was a beautiful tribute to the life he lived. Son Neal gave a nice eulogy, sharing memories of his father’s kindness, time spent together, and his quiet but caring nature. Laughter filled the crowd several times. All of Flory’s grandchildren participated in the liturgy except three who were unable to attend. Granddaughter Carolyn (Wolf) Smith sang “Ave Maria” so eloquently that it sent chills down the spine. Another granddaughter, Joann (Loosbrock) Solari, played the violin. There was a giant lollipop made up of Tootsie Pops displayed as Flory always had them as a treat for the grandkids. Military honors featured over twenty Legion and SAL members. A husband/ father/grandfather as well as brother/uncle/friend, Flory loved God, his family & friends, and his country. God bless the memory of Florian Loosbrock. May he rest in peace.

If you attended the Garth Brooks concert on Friday night, you were treated to a great show! When Garth’s wife, Trisha Yearwood, sang “She’s In Love With The Boy”, all eyes were on the “Kiss Cam”. Lo and behold, who should be on there but Virgil & Alice Cook! What a great couple!
