Continued blessings upon Molly Jo Einck, who received the baptismal oils this past weekend at the Saturday evening Mass.  Deacon Vern Behrends assisted Fr. Colletti.  Molly was baptized shortly after her birth in Ann Arbor, MI,  but her parents, Mike & Melissa wanted to have the sacramental oils administered with their families present.  Aunt Nina Weidert and Uncle Joey Einck are Molly’s Godparents. A reception followed with the Einck and Weidert families attending.

Caitlyn Veld celebrated her First Holy Communion on May 6th.  A reception in her honor was held at the home of her parents, Troy & Cindy Veld.  Also attending were: her siblings Marissa & Tyler; Grandparents Darwin & Lois Veld and Mary Sites, all of Lismore; Keith Smedsrud, Luverne; Jon & Tammy Veld and family and Jason & Lori Veld and family, all of Brandon.

Marv Kern has a new great-grandson!  Adam and Teresa Bullerman of Luverne are the parents of a son, Boeden Robert, who was born on May 2nd. He joins a sister, Brielle at home.  Grandparents are Bob & Lori (Kern) Bullerman of Pipestone and Jerald & Evelyn

Green of Adrian.  Congratulations, everyone!!

The American Legion, Sons of American Legion, and the American Legion Auxiliary will hold a Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lismore Legion Hall followed by military services at the three cemeteries (St. Anthony, Lismore, and St. Anthony West).  Everyone is invited to a community potluck meal at the Legion Hall.

Cate Koehne received her Education Specialist Degree from SMSU on May 6th.  She was a member of the first class to earn the highest degree that SMSU now offers!  The hooding was held at 7:30 followed by 10am graduation.  Cate’s husband, Bob and children, Lucas, Maddy & Emery were there to witness this great event.  Also present were Cate’s sisters, Cindy Klomp of Maplewood and Sue Boots of Winona.  Congratulations, Cate! What an accomplishment!

Mark & Jeanine Lorang and Laura Lorang & Andrew Fodness attended the Fishback Honors College Medallion Ceremony on Friday afternoon. This ceremony recognized the approximately 80 students who were graduating with Honors College Distinction from SDSU in Brookings. Nicholas Lorang was one of those who received the distinctive honor. Mark & Jeanine and Laura also attended Commencement on Saturday morning to see Nick graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Congratulations, Nick!

Justin, Meredith and Claire Jonas of Sheldon, IA were Friday noon lunch guests in the home of his grandma Joyce Erdman. They spent the afternoon visiting and sharing memories.

Dave & Deb Lutmer and Cody Lutmer were Saturday

overnight guests in the home of Rick & Linda Lutmer in Omaha, NE.  They were “working” guests at the newly purchased home of Katie Lutmer and later attended the house warming gathering at Adam Lutmer’s newly remodeled home. On Sunday the Lutmers stopped in Sioux Falls, SD to visit Will & McCall Lutmer and Sutton.

Make plans to attend the Spring Show at Adrian High School on Friday, May 19th from 6:00-8:00pm.  Students will display their work from the past school year.  The textile department will showcase their quilts, the art classes will exhibit various art projects and the industrial tech students will show off their woods & metal projects.  While browsing these wonderful works of art, guests can enjoy a dish of Cold Stone ice cream, which is sponsored by the Student Council.

At their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Ct. St. Bernard #886 made plans to hold their annual salad and hot dish luncheon on Wednesday, June 7th.

Joyce Erdman attended 10:30 Mother’s Day Mass at St. Adrian with her daughter Pam and Mark Luettel and her granddaughter Jennifer Luettel of Mankato. After Mass, Pam & Mark served lunch at their home followed with an afternoon of visiting.
