Adrian Waterworks receives award

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) recently recognized 327 Minnesota wastewater treatment facilities for maintaining outstanding permit compliance from September 2015 through September 2016.  Adrian was one of the facilities to receive this recognition.  To be eligible for this recognition, facilities were require to submit all monitoring reports to the MPCA correctly and on time demonstrate consistent compliance through monitoring or surveys and employ staff certified by the MPCA in wastewater operations.  Adrian supervisor Adam Henning comments “I give all the credit to Ryan Holtz who does the reports and asks MPCA when there are questions.”  Community, institution or treatment plant size was not a factor in awarding the certificates.

The awards were presented at the 80th annual Wastewater Operations Conference in Brooklyn Park.  The annual conference brings together wastewater operators from Minnesota for training and professional education.  Congratulations to the Adrian Public Works staff and wastewater operator Ryan Holtz on a job well done.
