Readers- Don’t forget to attend the St. Patrick’s Day Parade which will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 4 p.m. Meet at the Adrian Auto corner. The Town and Country organization will be having a steak fry or hamburger meal at the American Legion in Adrian, MN. The steaks will be grilled by the Nobles County Cattleman’s Association. A cash bar will be available. The Town and Country hopes everyone will come and eat some good steaks on Saturday, March 18th after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Adrian Catholic Daughters met last Saturday morning at 9:30. Everyone was asked to wear a “little green”. Two new members were installed by Mary Metz, District Deputy for our area. After the swearing in, District Deputy Mary Metz installed Micki Croat as our new Vice Regent. I have been a Catholic Daughter for over 60 years and have never seen a new member step forward to fill an office. That is what Micki did last Saturday, she saw a need and stepped up to fill it. Gleaned from the Argus Leader last week. There was letter to the editor from Orville and Elaine Lonneman. The letter states that they were in Tea, SD steak house and when they went to pay their bill, they were informed that someone stepped up and it was already paid. The Lonneman’s were grateful and stated they would also do the same on another day. What a great kindness.
Speaking of the Lonneman family, please continue to pray for Helen Lonneman who is in a rehab center at this time. If you care to send her a card sent it their farm home and the family will deliver it.
Senior Center is having another $2.00 meal on Monday, March 20th. Providers will be Pam and Mark Luettel. If you would like to come, please call Marie Schwebach at the Center. The phone number is 483-2588. It’s always fun to eat, visit and have a good time. See you there!
On Sunday, March 19 at| 3pm at the St. Adrian Catholic Church, Adrian, MN please join us as we celebrate the Holtkamp Pipe Organ. Featured recitalist will be Marilyn Schempp, Principal Organist at Our Savior Lutheran Church and faculty member at Augustana University, Sioux Falls, SD. There will be a free will offering to support the recital series.
