Parkview Manor in Ellsworth has welcomed Sam Quam as their new Administrator. Sam is stepping into the Administrator position following the retirement of long time Administrator Mike Werner. Sam was able to work with Mike for almost a month and learned a lot about Parkview Manor in that time.
Sam grew up in the New London-Spicer area (about 15 miles from Willmar). He went to college at Concordia in Moorhead, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business with a concentration in Healthcare Leadership and Long-Term Care Administration. He states “I was drawn to long-term care because of the relationships I get to establish with both the residents and staff while working in a home like environment. He is currently living on the east side of Sioux Falls, his fiance Jessica who is a 1st grade teacher at Atwater-Cosmo-Grove City School is currently looking for an elementary teaching position nearby for next year.
After a little more than two months to settle into his new role Sam is excited about the strong support from community members, the commitment and passion of the Parkview Manor employees and most of all the amazing residents. He comments “I feel incredibly blessed that I was given the opportunity to be Administrator at Parkview Manor.”
