Slayton 54 – Ellsworth 50
Ninth seeded Panthers faced the 8th seed Slayton Rebels in first round of tournament action in Section 3A.
The Rebels defeated the Panthers to move on in the tournament, 54-50.
MCC controlled the game at the start, taking a 32-18 lead at the half. Ellsworth outscored Slayton in the second half but fell to them. Leaders for the Panthers were Devin Dreessen 19 points, six rebounds and three steals, Sierra Smith 19 points, seven assists. Kallie Chapa had 5 rebounds and Morgan Dreessen has five assists.
Ellsworth Panther girls ended the season with a 3-22 record.

Chantel Groen came up big for Southwest Christian in its regular season finale victory over Ellsworth.
Devin Dreesen led Ellsworth with eight points, while Morgan Dreesen scored six.
Ellsworth plays Murray County Central on Thursday in Slayton in the tournament.

Three players scored in double figures as Murray County Central defeated Ellsworth in a Red Rock Conference game.
. Ellsworth was led by Devin Dreesen’s 19 points and nine rebounds. Ashlyn Meester added 10 points, while Morgan Dreesen scored nine points.

Junior guard Kaitlyn Christians led three Adrian Dragons into double figures in a win against Ellsworth.
Christians scored 19 points. Hannah Bullerman had 14 and Taylor Heidebrink 12.
Devin Dreesen scored 25 points for Ellsworth.
