Late GBB rally falls just short

After upsetting the South-Subsection 3A seeded Flying Dutchmen on Super Saturday the Adrian girls (5th seeded) faced the tournament’s number one seeded Falcons of Red Rock Central, and after battling point-for-point through the opening period, then falling behind early in the second half, the Adrian girls fought themselves back from 21 points down to make things interesting with a 25-10 rally before falling 68-62. The loss ends the Dragons season giving them an overall record of 11-14.

The Dragons put four players in double figures in the contest by shooting 42% making 22 fieldgoals in 52 tries. Hannah Bullerman matched the games leading scorer with 16 points. Paige Bullerman, on six of six shooting, ended with 14 counters. Jeffers had four three-pointers for 12 points and Christians was the fourth double-digit scorer with 10. Lexi Slater and Moriah Bullerman finished with  seven and three points respectively.

Adrian held a 40 to 39 lead on the boards, but gave up 16 offensive caroms to the winners. Hannah Bullerman finished with a career high 12 rebounds and just missed a triple-double with a season high 8 assists. Slater also rebounded well with 10 rebounds and finished with three steals.  The Dragons committed 25 turnovers in the game, 19 in the opening period.
