Jay and Mimi Drenth, Rock Rapids, IA. were Saturday evening supper guests with Ruth Birkett and Skip Birkett.
Sympathy to the Walter Ranschau Family, Inwood IA . Mr. Ranschau died on Sunday February 19, 2017 at the age of 90. He is survived by 8 children and their families. The oldest son, Dave and Becky Ranschau and family are residents of Ellsworth MN.
We had our first blizzard warning of 2017 for Thursday,
February 23, 2017. Fortunately for us we did not get the 12 inches that were predicted but a good 6 inches with high winds 30 to 40 mph. No school on Friday but every thing is getting back to normal with higher temperature increases for the week.
Ruth Birkett, Skip Birkett, Ellsworth; Jay and Mimi Drenth Rock Rapids IA went to visit with their grandson and nephew Shane Johanning, in Slayton on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Grain Exchange.
