Lismore News – Feb 15

Ian Meyeraan, son of Bruce and Lindsay Meyeraan of Luverne, celebrated his 5th birthday on Saturday afternoon with pizza and birthday cake.  Helping him celebrate at his home were his brother, Aidan and sister, Ava; Grandpa and Grandma (Mark & Pam) Luettel of Adrian; Grandpa and Grandma (Bob & Orene) Meyeraan of Rushmore; and Great-Grandma Joyce Erdman of Lismore.  It was a great time. Happy Birthday, Ian!

Deb Lutmer and her sister, Carol Giroux of Wheaton, spent the weekend in St. Cloud.

They attended the girls basketball game between the BBE (Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa) Jaguars and the Kimball Cubs in Belgrade on Friday evening.  Jennifer Boyle (Deb’s niece / Carol’s granddaughter) plays for the Jaguars.  On Saturday they visited with Carol’s daughter, Michelle Boyle, in St. Cloud.

Ct. St. Bernard Catholic Daughters issued a “food fight” challenge to the St. Anthony Knights of Columbus.  The friendly competition between the men and women is to see which can collect the most

items for the local food shelf.  The organization with the fewest items will cook and serve a parish meal after the April 1st Saturday evening Mass.  The “food fight” will be from Feb. 11th-March 11th.  Everyone is encouraged to join the spirited competition! Choose which organization you’d like to support and place your non-perishable food items, personal care items or household items in the respective box.  Remember EVERYONE wins—all items collected will benefit the local food shelves.  An evening of fun, food, and fellowship will conclude the competition.
