KSFY-TV Broadcasts from the Adrian Branch Library

Early on Thursday morning, January 12, 2017, a crew from KSFY-TV Sioux Falls, traveled to Adrian to do a series of interviews about the Adrian Branch Library fundraiser and renovation project.  Reporter Vanessa Gomez and cameraman Simon Floss arrived at the Library at 4:45 a.m.  What followed were four live interviews broadcasting at 5:15 a.m., 5:30 a.m., 6:05 a.m., and 6:30 a.m.

Gomez spoke to Nobles County Library Director Clint Wolthuizen for the first interview of the day.  Wolthuizen spoke about the need to renovate the space, and pointed out some of the elements of the building that need to be replaced and/or renovated.  For the second interview, Adrian Branch Librarian Meredith Vaselaar took Gomez and Floss to the New Vision Coop building, which will be where temporary library services will take place during the renovation.  Vaselaar mentioned that services will begin at that location – 100 East 1st Street – on Monday, January 23, 2017.  Vaselaar gave credit to New Vision for offering the building, rent-free, for as long as needed; and acknowledged the Lismore Telephone Company for providing free Internet services at the New Vision space for the Library.  Vaselaar expressed gratitude to the Lismore Area Community Foundation (L.A.C.F.) for sponsoring the fundraiser, which makes it possible for all donations to be used exclusively locally for the Adrian Branch Library.
