Lismore News – Dec 28

Christmas Eve at St. Anthony’s…there are many words that could describe the church decorations, the Christmas message, and the music, but BEAUTIFUL seems to sum it up.  Father Rick Colletti, the newly assigned pastor for the Adrian cluster, celebrated a memorable Christmas Eve Mass.  Cantors filled the church with beautiful Christmas music before Mass began, complete with Nick Lorang on the trumpet.  Mark Loosbrock sang a song that has become a St. Anthony Christmas tradition, “O Holy Night”.  Fr. Colletti commented on the decorations and music, and praised and thanked all of those involved in the liturgy.  He also thanked those who helped him get settled in to his new home in Adrian.   It was such a blessing to have a Christmas Eve Mass in our beautiful church!

Joyce Erdman attended an AA Christmas Party in Slayton on Tuesday evening with her son, Mike.  Good food, visiting, and games were enjoyed.  Joyce is so proud to report that Mike is celebrating his 29th year of sobriety.  Congratulations Mike!

Thanks to the Review for the headline story on the Marv & Ruth Lorang Family continuing the sausage making tradition!  The Lorang’s involved all the grandchildren in the process; many memories were made. Their late grandfather, Marv would be so proud.   What are your family traditions? The holidays are a perfect time to share your family’s traditions, talents, and stories!
