The Lismore Christmas Caroling was postponed from Dec. 16th to Friday, December 23rd. Carolers will meet at the Lismore Fire Hall at 7:00 p.m. and congregate afterwards for munchies and appetizers. Everyone is invited.
Congratulations to Ray & Bette LeBrun of Luverne (formerly of Lismore) on the birth of another great-granddaughter. Audrey Ann was born on December 2nd to Tyler & Anna LeBrun, also of Luverne. She joins a big brother, Benson, at home. Grandparents are Jim and Anne LeBrun of Adrian and Dale and Julie Meyer of Arlington, MN.
Bruce & Brenda Loosbrock were recently in Las Cruces, New Mexico to attend the graduation of their son, Wade from New Mexico State University. Wade was on the Dean’s list at NMSU and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Other guests at Wade’s commencement were Mary Jean and Gianna DiGiovanni of Omaha, NE; Veronica, Andrew & Justin Masselink of Sioux Falls, SD; and Rick, Shirley, & Addison Gunther of Arizona. Congratulations, Wade!
Jim and Kris Weidert with the help of Olivia and Nina hosted the pre-Christmas get together at their home on Sunday. Those attending were Grandma Mary and Grandpa Jerry Weidert and Jeff and Jan Weidert, all of Lismore; Jerry Weidert of Worthington; Mike and Melissa Einck and Mari, of rural Wilmont; Joan Miller and Kasey, Kelli, and Katherine of Balaton; Tim and Jean Loosbrock and Jenna of Champlin; Joe and Shauna Weidert and Jared and Courtney of Iona; and John and Kim Weidert and Cole, Christian, Ariana and Cody of Adrian.
Dave & Deb Lutmer were Saturday overnight guests in the home of her sister, Carol Giroux and Darrel Johnson, in Wheaton. They celebrated with friends and family at an open house in honor of Darrel’s 75th birthday. On Sunday afternoon, Dave & Deb were in Sioux Falls helping their grandson, Sutton, celebrate his 1st birthday. Sutton’s parents, Will & McCall, hosted the party and lots of family members were on hand to watch the birthday boy dig into his cake! So much fun!
The American Legion Auxiliary prepared “good cheer” baskets last Wednesday evening before their meeting. When delivering the baskets, members also added a little conversation and friendly faces. The Auxiliary has been preparing “good cheer” baskets for over fifty years! The number of baskets has decreased from over 30 per year to just a handful this year.
Former Lismore resident, Ray LeBrun, celebrated his 85th birthday on December 9th. Cake was served at Poplar Creek by his children: Steve & Cheri LeBrun, Josie LeBrun, Bill & Patty LeBrun, and Jim & Anne LeBrun. Others who joined Ray to celebrate were: Sam & Mindy LeBrun and girls; Anna LeBrun, Benson & Audrey; and Brandon LeBrun. LeeAnn LeBrun joined the celebration that evening when they all went for supper at the Blue Stem. Happy birthday, Ray!
