Lois Loosbrock
Lismore, MN
Lois was born on May 21, 1922 on a farm near Iona, Minnesota, the daughter of Tom and Agnes (Kemp) Trautt. She grew up at Iona and attended country school. Her family moved to Adrian where she attended and graduated from St. Adrian High School.
Lois and Marvin Loosbrock were married on June 25, 1945 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis while Marvin was stationed at Fort Snelling. They moved to Lismore in 1947 where they raised three sons.
Lois, “Breezy” as she was known to her friends, was very active in the community and church. She was a member of the Catholic Christian Women at St. Anthony Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed activities with the Sewing Club. She bowled on league teams in Lismore and Adrian for many years and liked golfing. Lois also served as a Director at the State Bank of Lismore.
She was 94 years old when she passed away November 29, 2016 at the Adrian Country Living Apartments.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her son and their spouses, Gary and Vickie of Lismore, Steve and Sandy of Minneapolis, Mark and Jeanne Loosbrock of Lismore; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; 4 brothers-in-law, Tom Loosbrock, Baylon Loosbrock, Dick Neuman and Cec Grandprey; and the many nieces and nephews that enjoyed visiting Lois over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin, on March 10, 1990; and 8 siblings, Roman, Dorothy, Max, Florence, Bernice, Lorna, Rosie and Joyce.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the church.
