Well we have lived a whole week knowing the results of the elections last Tuesday. The world has continued as it did the last time there was a party change. I’m not moving to another country to escape this one. It is still one country and we can make it work. I was surprised at how large a swing it was to the Republican Party both for the federal and the state of Minnesota. Who would have guessed Minnesota had so many Republicans. Fulda had over 92% turn out to vote, including over 80 new registered voters. Anyway, as the dust settles over the next few months more information will surface on our future.
The super moon was a pleasant experience. I don’t remember the last one in forty-eight but apparently it wasn’t big on my list of things to do. It was a noticeable difference in size, they say 14%, made by being closer to earth than it has been for a long time. Monday was the peek day for viewing.

A young man asked an old rich man how he made his money.
The old guy fingered his worsted wool vest and said, “Well, son, it was 1932. The depth of the Great Depression. I was down to my last nickel. “I invested that nickel in an apple. I spent the entire day polishing the apple and, at the end of the day, I sold the apple for ten cents.”
“The next morning, I invested those ten cents in two apples. I spent the entire day polishing them and sold them for 20 cents. I continued this system for a month, by the end of which I’d accumulated a fortune of $1.37.”
“Then my wife’s father died and left us two million dollars.”

Have a good week.
