Ellsworth School will be holding a Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ellsworth School Gym. Organizer Jessica Anderson is very excited for this event as it is the first Veterans Day Program held in seven years at the school.
Students have been working on pictures and letters for Veterans. These will be hung up throughout the gym and will be sent to deployed soldiers following the program. The Ellsworth Legion will be presenting the colors. The Submarine Veterans of South Dakota will take part in the program. Jessica’s husband, Dan Anderson, is a member and will be present for the ceremony as will Kent Winters, Jerry Davey and Mike Neuroth. The Ellsworth High School band will also perform. Students and faculty invites the public to come into the Ellsworth School, Friday morning, and help them honor Veterans.
