REGULAR MEETING ADRIAN BOARD OF EDUCATION, AUGUST 16, 2016
Board Chair Lonneman called the regular meeting of the Adrian Board of Education to order at 6:00 P.M. on August 16, 2016. Members present Bullerman, Kruger, Kunkel, Lenz, Lonneman, Madison, and Wolf. Also present Superintendent Graff, Principal Russ Lofthus and staff member Blake Miller.
Motion by Kunkel to approve the agenda, seconded by Lenz, motion carried.
Motion by Kruger, seconded by Kunkel to approve the minutes from the July 19, 2016 meeting, motion carried.
Motion by Madison to approve the claims and accounts for the month of July 2016, seconded by Wolf, motion carried.
Superintendent Graff presented the July 31, 2016 reports. Motion by Wolf, seconded by Madison to approve the account balances, motion carried.
Mr. Lofthus presented his Elementary Principal’s report.
Gave an update on the playground tiles and explained that there is a difference in tile colors. He has contacted the company and they are aware of the situation. Vender would like us to wait until spring of 2017 to see if they fade to all the same likeness.
Presented classroom enrollment by grade level.
Presented resignation from H Bennett effective August 25, 2016, motion by Kruger, seconded by Kunkel to accept resignation, motion carried.
Mr. Graff presented Mr. Christensen’s Middle/High School Principal’s report.

Presented a Building and Grounds update.
Presented the Resolution Calling for General Elections. Motion by Wolf, seconded by Lenz to approve the Resolution Calling for General Elections, motion carried.
Presented a request to set the Truth in Taxation date, time and location to Monday December 19 at 6:00 PM in the Adrian High School Media Center. Motion by Wolf, seconded by Madison, to approve, motion carried.
Reviewed the fourth draft of Policy 902 – Use of School District Facilities and Equipment following discussion, and revisions, motion by Bullerman, seconded by Wolf to approve Policy 902, motion carried.
Motion by Kunkel, seconded by Kruger to adjourn the August meeting of the Adrian Board of Education at 6:40 P.M., motion carried.
