Laura Ingalls Wilder (aka: Melanie Stringer) spoke at the Adrian Elementary School on Thursday, October 6, to a crowd of 53 people.

The program consisted of Laura telling about life in 1896, the many journeys she and her family made during her life up to that point, as well as how times were different more than a century ago.  Laura showed the audience artifacts from that era, and were given the opportunity to touch the items and ask questions.  Everyone enjoyed the presentation.  The event was sponsored by the Adrian Branch Library, the Plum Creek Library System, and Minnesota Legacy Funds.

“Meet Laura Ingalls Wilder” will be presented at Pioneer Village in Worthington on Wednesday, October 12, at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is free and open to the public.  The performance is sponsored by the Nobles County Library, the Plum Creek Library System, and Minnesota Legacy Funds.
