Our sympathy to “Sue” (Remarkel) Lewis, in the loss of her husband “Dick” Lewis, who died suddenly on Wednesday, September 21st at his home in North Mankato, MN. Dick was born in Adrian in 1940 to the late George and “Billie” (Masgai) Lewis. He graduated from Adrian High School and served his country in the U.S. air Force. Dick and Sue lived in North Mankato fro over 40 years. Dick and Sue were members of “The Gang” that was started in Adrian almost 60 years ago. These friends have been so loyal to each other in times of joy and sorrow. Many of them were present at Dick’s funeral and were a great support for his wife Sue. May God be close to Sue and her family as they mourn the death of Dick. God Bless the memory of Dick Lewis.

Good to read about Henning Construction “crew” being the low bidder in Worthington’s Buss field. In the October 12 issue of the Daily Globe is a nice long article and two pictures of Hennings at work. They were low bidders out of seven. Adrian is proud of the Hennings.
Don’t forget the Library Renovation Fund! We are almost half way to $80,000. A good hint – call your out of town “kids” and have them send you a contribution and you can get a family leaf in the big book.

Grandparents Mike and Cheryl Cox were there to baby-sit the two little Wenthe girls.
St. Mary’s Church in Ellsworth had a big crowd for their annual fall dinner and bazaar. That church does such a great job of working together and Father Tom Jennings stepped in and helped with dishes. It was a perfect day for their bazaar.
Neighbor Lorraine gave Kay Cox fresh perch fish – enough for two meals. Great eating and good friend.
