Every parent knows how important school is for their child’s growth during the K-12 years. However, it doesn’t just end at the end of the school day.  Adrian Community Education After School Program, now called Dragon Adventures, at Adrian Elementary School is “a great opportunity for students to gather and do structured learning activities in a safe environment for each child every day after school” says Jessica Dibbern, the coordinator for Dragon Adventures.  It has been implemented at AES for at least ten years and is available to students in kindergarten through fifth grades.  Dragon Adventures is held Monday through Friday on all school days from 3:20 until 5:00pm.  The cost to attend this program offered at AES is $3.00 per night per child, and is a pre-registered and paid-in-advance program.   New this year, Dragon Adventures is now accepting drop in registrations.  Parents need to call the school before 1:30 to register their child for that day, payment will need to be made when their child is picked up.  Cost for drop in’s is still $3. Dragon Adventures is coordinated and staffed by Jessica Dibbern and is assisted by Kim DeBeer, Stacey Turner and Julie Winselman; all employees of Adrian Elementary.

Every day, when students are dismissed from their classrooms at the end of the day, the students who are registered for the program meet in the commons area of the elementary school where attendance is taken.
