The Lady Dragons hosted the MCC Rebels on Thursday, September 8. The “nerdy crowd” excited the Dragons to fight hard for the first set, winning 27-25. The Rebels stunned the Dragons in the second set, easily winning 12-25. Determined to win, the Dragons came back to take the third set 25-22. The Rebels rallied and were able to win both the fourth and fifth sets: 15-25 and 8-15.
The Dragons rallied behind senior Jackie Hokeness who had 4 blocks on the night. Miah Kunkel had 5 blocks and also had 9 kills. Kasie Tweet had 12 kills and 3 ace serves. Paige Bullerman and Avery Balster each had 3 ace serves.
