Mother Nature strikes again! Why is it that when you have family members traveling for a holiday, she strikes with a vengeance? Many families were not able to celebrate Thanksgiving together because of her uncooperative winter weather. Hopefully all that were able to travel did so safely. The snow and ice stayed mainly in our area and north.
Unfortunately the ecumenical Thanksgiving Service in Adrian was a victim of Mother Nature. It is always so good to come together as a community of Christians to worship. Our deepest sympathies to the families of Bob Wittry, Woody Einck and DuWayne Cleveland. It is hard to lose someone at any time, but the holidays are the worst. God bless the memory of Robert Wittry, Woody Einck and DuWayne Cleveland.
Adrian Senior Dining has a great menu lined up for this week. Bingo was played on Monday, but you can get in for cards next Tuesday, December 10. Call ahead and make your reservation.
The annual Tree of Lights Ceremony is coming up on December 11 at the Senior Dining site. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. It is about a 1/2 hour program to remember and dedicate the Tree of Lights in honor of those still with us and in memory of those we have lost. Plan to attend.
SANTA IS COMING TO ADRIAN! on Saturday, December 14. He will be in the High School library from 9:00-11:00 a.m. There will be goodie bags for all and Santa’s elves will be taking pictures for the paper.
On Monday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m. is the Adrian MS/HS Christmas Concert. Christ-
mas concerts really make the Christmas Season special. Be sure to attend!
If you have anything you would like to see in the Adrian News, please contact the Nobles County Review. Thought for the week: In order to succeed at being ourselves, we must continually be committing ourselves to God, giving to Him those things that appear to be holding us back. Only God can take proper care of those types of situations.
Have a great week!
