Two former EHS basketball standouts took to the floor at the AHS gym last Tuesday…as referees! Trevor Gruis and Casey Schilling were the officials for the Adrian vs HBC boys game. They can still run up and down the court like teenagers! How time passes and life changes, but it is wonderful these two guys can still enjoy the game, just from a different perspective.
Coming up for AHS is a busy week. On Thursday, Dec. 20: MS girls basketball team is at home against MCC at 4:30, while the MS boys are at MCC at 4:30. The Varsity girls are at Wabasso for a holiday tournament, playing at 6:00 p.m.. The boys are away at RRC (Lamberton, with the JV playing at 6:00 and the Varsity at 8:00 p.m. Boys hockey is away at Worthington at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 21, the MS/HS Candy Cane Concert is at 10:00 a.m. Early dismissal for Christmas break for both schools is at 12:20 for MS/HS and 12:30 for Elementary. Wrestling is away at Redwood Valley, hockey is at home in Luverne, and girl’s basketball continues with the Wabasso tournament. On Sat., Dec. 2, BBB is away at Lamberton.
Are you loving our weather? Isn’t it great to see the sun for so many days in a row! We may not have a white Christmas, but that’s easier for those who travel for Christmas.
JoAnn Klein of Cresco, IA stopped at the Cottages this past Friday to visit her aunt, Kay Cox, on her way to visit other family in Custer, SD. Kay was happy to catch up on family news. JoAnn is the wife of the late Bob Klein, who was a resident of the Adrian, Magnolia area.
The St. Adrian Catholic Daughters had their Christmas potluck and enjoyed a wide variety of hotdishes and desserts. Father Colletti and Seminarian David entertained with music.
After the Vikings game on Sunday, Kay Cox and Eileen Hokeness were invited to Al and Cindy Cox for supper. Their home is all decked out for Christmas, inside and out!
The residents of Adrian Country Cottages are eager for Christmas! You can smell the cookies baking, and the Christmas tree brings back many memories. It is heartwarming to see families greeting families, as so many come to visit during the holiday!
